Read! Read! Read! Reading books is the best way to improve grammar, vocabulary, and spelling all at the same time. Read aloud to strengthen the tongue muscle in English. Also, join any club or group that interests you and meets regularly. This helps you find people that you can speak to in English.

Yes! Often, there are sounds that exist in English that do not exist in other languages. Learning how to make these new sounds is an important part of communicating well.

Yes! The classes are private, one-on-one classes. I prepare each class specifically for you so that you can improve in the areas necessary. I also offer online group classes!

In a 1-on-1 conversational class, we will talk about anything that interests you. I will gently correct any pronunciation or grammar errors. If I need to, I will explain the English rules so that you understand. I will encourage you to talk a lot! You will also have to listen and ask me questions like a normal conversation. If you have something specific you would like to practice talking about, we can do that too. Of course, I will be helping you the entire time.

Yes, all the classes are online with Zoom. Please have Zoom installed on your computer. You may use your phone, but the audio is better on a computer. The screen is also larger and easier to read. Find a quiet place to take the class so we can hear each other well. Sit close to the Wi-Fi for a strong internet connection.

I recommend starting with 1 unit (4 classes) of group classes. If you want 1-on-1 classes, I recommend starting with a package of 10 classes.

A 55-minute class costs $50. Or you can buy a package of 10 classes for $450. Group classes cost $50 (includes 4 Zoom classes) per unit.

No, but I recommend a notebook and pen for each class. If you have access to a printer at home, that is useful.

For the 1-on-1 classes, you can choose if you want homework or not. I understand that people are busy and do not always have time for homework. However, doing homework after class helps you learn faster and remember what you learned. I will always send our chat box from class in an email. I will include homework in the email if you want. Group classes have daily homework to help you remember and practice what we learned in class.
